Who is Zeestr?
Zeestr provides software and services that help nonprofits, individuals and organizations more effectively raise funds for 501(c)3 certified organizations and engage with their constituents through our main software and services funding platform tool (“ZeestrFUNDr”). We merely provide a technology platform to allow Beneficiaries to connect with Donors. The existence of the Site or Services is not a solicitation of donations.
Privacy Policy
Zeestr, LLC (“Zeestr” “we” or “us” or “our”) respects the privacy of our users (“user” or “you”). This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you (a) visit our websites including [www.zeestr.com], and our social media pages (collectively, the “Site”), and (b) when you use our online products and services including but not limited to branded portals (“Services”). If you do not see something on this page, please also reference our Terms of Use.
Please read this Policy carefully. By using the Site and Services offered by Zeestr, you are acknowledging that you have agreed to our Terms of Use and that you have read and understand this Policy including our use of cookies and similar technologies. By visiting the Site, submitting information via the Site or Services, making a donation or using any of our products or services, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Policy and consent to having your data transferred to and/or processed in the United States. If you do not agree to this Policy, do not use the Site or Services.
It is important to note that not all aspects of this Policy may apply to you, depending on the types of interactions you have with us and the categories of personal information that we collect from you. Those activities will determine which of the following applies to you and your personal information.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date of this Policy. Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Policy on the Site, and you waive the right to receive specific notice of each such change or modification.
Collection of Information
Utilizing the Site does not require an account or a used ID in order to visit, or donate. When we ask for information, we will not require users to provide more information than we believe is reasonably necessary to participate in the activity. Depending on the use of the Site, we may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect on the Site includes:
Personal Data
Personally identifiable information, such as your name, shipping or mailing address, email address, and telephone number, and demographic information, such as your age, gender, hometown, and interests, that you voluntarily give to us when you (a) take action (donate, apply, make a matching donation, create a Fundraising page), (b) register with the Site, or (c) choose to participate in various activities related to the Site, such as online chat and message boards and subscription to newsletters and promotional emails. You are under no obligation to provide us with personal information of any kind, however your refusal to do so may prevent you from using certain features of the Site.
Financial Data
Financial information, such as data related to your payment method (e.g. valid credit card number, card brand, expiration date) that we may collect when you purchase, order, return, exchange, or request information about our services from the Site. We store only very limited, if any, financial information that we collect. Otherwise, all financial information is stored by our third-payment processor. We currently use Stripe as our third-party payment processor. You’re encouraged to review Stripe’s privacy policy and contact Striple directly for responses to your questions.
Campaign & Matching Donations Identify Verification:
In order to create a Campaign, make a Matching Donation or participate in a third-party activity, you may be required to verify the identity of the entity. You may need to provide verification information, such as legal name, business name, business tax, non-profit status, and date of birth.
SiteData Collection:
- Your login and password details for Campaigns and for administrative access to backend dashboards and Beneficiary portals.
- Communications you send to contact us, via support desk or direct contact via email.
- Information you submit on the Site in the form of comments, discussions, messages to other users or emails you send via the Site; and the email address associated with your mail or Facebook account, if you choose to sign up for an account using your Facebook credentials. In the event of registration with social media, we will also request permission to access your name, profile picture and field list which are governed by the privacy policy of that social media platform. We will never post anything to your Facebook, Twitter or other third-party social accounts, without an opt-in with your permission.
Information That is Passively or Automatically Collected
Derivative Data
Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Site, such as your IP address, your browser type, your operating system, your access times, and the pages you have viewed directly before and after accessing the Site, via utilization of Google Analytics. Facebook Permissions
The Site may by default access your Facebook basic account information, including your name, email, gender, birthday, current city, and profile picture URL, as well as other information that you choose to make public. We may also request access to other permissions related to your account, such as friends, check-ins, and likes, and you may choose to grant or deny us access to each individual permission. Data From Social Networks
User information from social networking sites, such as [Apple’s Game Center, Facebook, Google+, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter], including your name, your social network username, location, gender, birth date, email address, profile picture, and public data for contacts, if you connect your account to such social networks.
Cookies and Other Electronic Technologies
Cookies are small pieces of information which are issued to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website and which store and sometimes track information about your use of the Site or Services. We use cookies to help recognize you as a repeat visitor, to improve the quality of our Site and Services, and to enhance your overall experience. Zeestr sets some of the cookies used on the Site, and others are set by the third parties Zeestr utilizes to operate, such as Google Analytics, Stripe, GiveWP, etc.
Most web and mobile device browsers automatically accept cookies but, if you prefer, you can change your browser to prevent that or to notify you each time a cookie is set. Data From Contests, Giveaways, and Surveys
Personal and other information you may provide when entering contests or giveaways and/or responding to surveys.
Use of Your Information
We utilize the information we collect on the Site in a manner consistent with this Policy. Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Site to:
- Publicly display Donations (unless user chooses to remain anonymous when making the online donation) and share the information with the Beneficiary of your Donation so that they may identity you as a Donor
- Administer sweepstakes, promotions, and contests
- Assist law enforcement and respond to subpoena
- Compile anonymous statistical data and analysis for use internally or with third parties
- Create and manage your account
- Email you regarding your account, donation or order
- To notify the creator of a Campaign that you have supported their Campaign to which you have made a Donation or otherwise supported via GiveCampus (even if you have asked that your name not be publicly displayed)
- To provide reporting to Clients (non-profits or organizations) utilizing the Site
- Ensure your account is secure
- Identify you when you login to your account
- Enable user-to-user communications
- Generate a personal profile about you to make future visits to the Site more personalized
- Increase the efficiency and operation of the Site
- Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the Site
- Notify you of updates to the Site
- Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity
- Process payments and refunds
- Request feedback and contact you about your use of the Site

When you post comments, contributions or other content to the Site, your posts may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside the Site in perpetuity.

We may share your information with our affiliates, in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Policy. Affiliates include our parent company and any subsidiaries, joint venture partners or other companies that we control or that are under common control with us.
California Users
The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) allows California residents to make certain requests regarding their personal information. Specifically, you have the right to ask us to:
- Inform you about the categories of personal information we collect or disclose about you; the categories of sources of such information; the business or commercial purpose for collecting your personal information; and the categories of third parties with whom we share/disclose personal information.
- Provide you access to and/or a copy of certain personal information we hold about you.
- Delete certain personal information we have about you.
- Provide you with information about the financial incentives that we offer to you, if any.
As provided in applicable law, you also have the right to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. Please note that certain information may be exempt from such requests under applicable law. For example, we need to retain certain information in order to provide our Services to you. We also need to take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to a request, which may include, at a minimum, depending on the sensitivity of the information you are requesting and the type of request you are making, verifying your name and email address. You are also permitted to designate an authorized agent to submit certain requests on your behalf. In order for an authorized agent to be verified, you must provide the authorized agent with signed, written permission to make such requests or a power of attorney. We may also follow up with you to verify your identity before processing the authorized agent’s request. Right to Delete. You have the right to request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you (and direct our service providers to do the same). There are a number of exceptions, however, that include, but are not limited to, when the information is necessary for us or a third party to do any of the following:
- Complete your transaction
- Provide you a good or service;
- Perform a contract between us and you;
- Protect your security and prosecute those responsible for breaching it;
- Fix our system in the case of a bug;
- Comply with a legal obligation; or
- Make other internal and lawful uses of the information that are compatible with the context in which you provided it.
Other Rights. You can request certain information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year. Response Timing and Format. We aim to respond to a request for access or deletion within 45 days of receiving that request. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.

Cookies and Web Beacons
We may use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, and other tracking technologies on the Site to help customize the Site and improve your experience.
